Stats are a budget
STR pushes melee, STA keeps you upright, ARM softens hits, Ki feeds beams and defenses. Zeroing one stat for memes makes you one-dimensional in PVP.
NPC teachers
Beat the mob, read look for * markers, ask politely in-character if the syntax is unclear. Farming PL without skills is how you plateau.

HP is a timer
Safe rooms, healers, and food exist. If you are always one hit from greyscreen, fix gear or PL before blaming lag.
Energy is also a timer
Dumping ki into five beams then trying to fly is how you die on the sidewalk. Leave a reserve.
Retreat is a tech
If scan says you are outclassed, burn movement + fly toward a heal tile. Pride loots your own corpse.
