🚀 Getting Started Guide
Connect, roll a character, learn movement and score, then lose your first spar on purpose so you see how defense works.
⚡ Quick Start (5 Minutes)
Create Character
Choose your race, alignment, and name. Human or Saiyan recommended for beginners.
Learn Basics
Walk the cardinal directions, run look and map, then score so you know what your numbers mean before anything hits you.
Start Training
Pick a weak overworld NPC, throw punch/kick, and practice dodge or parry when it swings back. PL comes from actual fights, not menus.
👤 Character Creation Guide
🌟 Race Selection
🆕 First Time Playing
Human: Straightforward toolkit; good if you want options without one gimmick defining your whole build.
Saiyan: Front-loaded brawler fantasy; transformations are a big part of the kit, so read help on forms early.
🎮 Experienced MUD Player
Namekian: Regen and race-specific tricks—worth it if you like upkeep in exchange for durability.
Android: More systems to babysit; rewarding if you already enjoy resource MUDs.
⚖️ Alignment Choice
✨ Good Alignment
- Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb techniques
- Kaioken transformations (Humans)
- Hero-style skill progression
- Generally easier for beginners
👿 Evil Alignment
- Galick Gun and Final Flash techniques
- Different transformation trees
- Aggressive combat options
- More challenging playstyle

👶 Your First Hour
🌍 Explore Your Starting Area
lookfor room text;mapfor the overhead view most people live in.- Cardinals and diagonals work; if you bump a wall, the map told you before the room did.
scorefor stats;powerwhen you only care about PL.senseto see who is around without staring at every tile.
💪 First Combat Training
- Spawn-side NPCs with PL in the hundreds, not millions.
- Alternate
punch/kick; notice energy and limb timing in the scroll. - Force yourself to
dodgeorparryevery third swing so it becomes muscle memory. - If the prompt says you are staggered or drained, back off—the MUD will not autopilot you out of it.
⚡ Power Development
- PL ticks up from real combat; chip damage still teaches flow even if the kill credit is what spikes you.
power uptrades safety for output—learn the ceiling before you lean on it in PVP.blastat range when the map gives you a line; don’t burn out standing in melee spamming beams.- Healing items, NPCs, or safe rooms exist; running is also a valid button.
🎯 Advanced Techniques
- Teachers show
*or colored markers inlook—bother them for skills your race can actually learn. - Stack defenses intentionally: dodge a beam, parry a follow-up punch, etc.
- When NPCs stop hurting, move outward on the map instead of AFK-punching the same tile.
- Planet hops unlock trainers and spawns; bring food and a plan for the flight back.
🎯 Short list that actually helps
🛡️ Stay Safe
- NPCs do not ego-check you in chat; players might. Learn flow on mobs first.
- Sub-30% health is a signal to fly, heal, or log to a safe tile—not to queue another super.
- Marked safe/heal rooms are worth memorizing; they are faster than begging randoms.
- Death costs time and resources; treat it like a wipe mechanic, not a cutscene.
📈 Power Growth
- Kill credit swings PL harder than participation damage—finish fights when you can.
- Near-PL fights train you; seal-clubbing weak mobs is for recovery days only.
- Player spars can grant gains; ask first so nobody reports you for griefing.
- Risk scales with target PL; big jumps need prep, not hope.
⚔️ Combat Tips
- Mix melee strings with a timed blast when you create space on the map.
- Defense buttons cost energy too; broke and stunned is how most losses happen.
- Watch the combat scroll for tells; there is no floating damage number UI.
- Read
helpon techniques you lose to—copying beats theorycrafting alone.
⚠️ Common Beginner Mistakes
❌ Fighting Too Strong Opponents
If scan looks like a typo in scientific notation, do not throw the first punch. Eat humble pie, find a closer PL spawn, come back later.
❌ Ignoring Energy Management
Zero energy means no dodge, no fly, no beam. You become a training dummy with a player name.
❌ Not Learning Defenses
Spamming punch while redtext rolls is not a build. Bind or memorize at least one defensive before you touch PVP.
❌ Poor Alignment Choice
Choosing alignment based on "good vs evil" instead of preferred techniques. Pick based on which attacks you want to learn.
